This module has helped me think about student-centered assessment in the following ways….
The student centered assessments allow the students to take charge of their learning. I was able to sit down and thoroughly review some student-centered assessments that could be adapted for use in a wide variety of units. It is always important for students to know what they are going to be assessed on in a project before they start, so they know the expectations. This module gave me some more ideas to use in my classroom.

How can technology be used most effectively to support and assess student learning?
If the students are creating a project using technology, like powerpoint or voicethread, a technology assessment can be made based on the use of these different types of technology. Students can use databases online to research information to support the project they are working on and view their rubrics online as another way to reinforce the expectations.

This module has helped me think about the impact of the Internet on my students' learning in the following ways...
It's amazing how much information students have access to via the internet. But it's scary as well. Students can type in words like wants vs. needs (the ones in our unit) and inappropriate words and material pop up. It is so important as teachers to create word documents that allow students to click on websites that have been researched and deemed acceptable to use.

This module has helped me think about using standards, CFQ's, or formative assessment in the following ways...
Standards are key in planning any lesson or unit. It's neat planning a multi-grade level unit and aligning the standards between both grades. It allows me, as a first grade teacher, to see where my students will be headed in social studies by the time they reach third grade.

This module has made me think about my role as an instructional designer in the following ways….
Today really made me think about how I don't always take advantage of the fabulous resources that are available through the internet in my classroom. I don't always take time to use them and am excited about being reintroduced to delicious.
